Meowgic launched on Steam on July 20, 2026 with an introductory 38% discount through July 27. Early reviews sit at roughly 81–83% positive, with players praising the chaotic voice-magic co-op and noting the learning curve around microphone setup. Read our launch guide and full review breakdown.

Core Mechanics
Meowgic blends three pillars: voice incantation, loot extraction, and coordinated co-op. Every expedition follows the same rhythm — prepare at the hub, fight across floating islands, then race to the hot-air balloon during a final enemy wave.
- Voice magic: speak spell names (or custom aliases) while aiming with the mouse. See the complete spell list and fix voice recognition guide if spells fail to cast.
- Extraction: loot only counts if you board alive. Read extract loot safely for route planning and platform defense.
- Co-op: up to four players in PvE, three in arena. Meow Revive, Tornado into Sky Strike combos, and clear voice callouts separate squads that extract from squads that wipe.
- Progression: scrolls, loot coins, and hub quests unlock advanced spells. The full game progression map covers Golden Harp through arena endgame.

System Requirements
Meowgic requires a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC and a working microphone for spell casting. A stable internet connection is needed for online co-op and arena. For voice troubleshooting beyond hardware specs, use our Voice Mic Setup Checker and voice recognition fix guide.
Steam Deck support is unconfirmed at launch. If you play in a non-English spell language, see the spell list for all 12 supported incantation languages.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Meowgic?
Meowgic is a co-op fantasy adventure on Steam where you play cat wizards and cast spells using your voice. You explore floating islands, fight monsters, collect loot, and extract to a hot-air balloon — solo or with up to four friends online.
Why are my spells not working in Meowgic?
The most common fixes are enabling push-to-cast (default: hold right mouse button), lowering in-game voice sensitivity to zero and relaunching, and speaking spell names clearly with pauses between words. Our fix voice recognition guide covers every step.
Is Meowgic co-op only?
No. Meowgic supports solo play, online co-op for up to four players, and a 3v3 arena PvP mode. Voice magic works in all modes, though co-op adds chaotic spell interactions like setting teammates on fire or lifting them with Levitation.
When did Meowgic release?
The full game launched on Steam on July 20, 2026, with a launch-week discount. A free demo with Cat Academy, the first level, Golden Harp quest, and Arena was available earlier during Steam Next Fest.
What languages does Meowgic support?
The game supports 12 spell languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), and Simplified Chinese. Interface and subtitles match each language.
What is the Golden Harp quest?
The Golden Harp is the signature story objective in the Meowgic demo and early full-game progression. You search floating islands for the harp, secure it from enemies, and extract it to the hot-air balloon to complete the quest.
